I’ve been where you are my friend. I am a wife, mother (5 in our clan) and a business owner. I have the same 24 hours that you do. We all get to make choices in how we choose to use them. I have been in that state of depletion. Putting my own self care on the back burner to “get things done” and take care of everyone else’s needs. And it left me unhappy, resentful, burned out, stressed and not very nice to my family. I made no time for me, for my friends, or for what made my heart sing. I learned how very important self care is for me to not only feel my best, but to enjoy life. I found that getting back to basics of getting good sleep, nourishing my body with food that gives me energy, staying hydrated, moving my body in ways that I enjoyed, and taking time for a mindfulness practice created a HUGE impact in how I felt in my mind, body and spirit.
